YouTube disables Cook County Court livestream channel: YouTube disabled the Cook County Court livestream channel for "unspecified violations" of the platform's Community Guidelines, according to WTTW News. WTTW said the YouTube channel page now says, "This account has been terminated due to multiple or severe violations of YouTube's policy against spam, deceptive practices, and misleading content or other Terms of Service violations." The county's chief judge started livestreaming court proceedings at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. "The (office) is not aware of any particular instance that would have precipitated the action, but understands that court proceedings are sometimes graphic in nature and not suitable for all audiences," said Chief Judge Timothy Evans’ office, WTTW wrote. As of the time of publication, 17 of the court's channels were still suspended, while 16 had been restored by YouTube.
