Facebook reportedly temporarily disables right-leaning media publisher’s account, claims error: Facebook disabled the account of Patrick Brown, owner and publisher of The Western Journal, on Oct. 21, according to the outlet. “Brown didn’t regularly post anything to his account but did use it to operate The Western Journal’s main Facebook page, along with numerous other affiliated pages,” Western Journal explained. The ban affected “key publishing functions for The Western Journal” that were tied to Brown’s account. On Oct. 23, Western Journal published an update, noting that a Meta spokesperson replied to The Western Journal by saying, “This account was disabled in error and the issue was quickly identified, and the account has been restored.”
