Facebook bans #StopTheSteal protest organizer Ali Alexander: Facebook, as part of its efforts to scrub any mention of #StopTheSteal in response to the violence that erupted during the #StopTheSteal protest on January 6, has permanently banned organizer Ali Alexander. This applies to both Facebook and Instagram, also owned by Facebook. Facebook spokesman Andy Stone released a statement about this that read: "We removed this account on both Facebook and Instagram for violating our Coordinating Harm policy."
