MailChimp deactivates WalkAway campaign service: Brandon Straka, founder of #WalkAway, reported that MailChimp has deactivated the service for his WalkAway campaign. He speculated that a number of anti-WalkAway activists signed up for his email list so they could then report it as spam. With enough reports of spam, an account could be deactivated, as Straka reported that his was. The deactivation coincided with a purge of #WalkAway from Facebook, possibly due to content related to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot and preceding protest, and possibly may be related in some way.
