Facebook removes National Vaccine Information Center's page: National Vaccine Information Center is a 39-year-old, highly rated small charity focused on providing public education about vaccines in order to help prevent vaccine injuries and deaths. The organization, which comes with high ratings from Charity Navigator, had a Facebook page since 2008. Though the resume of co-founder and president Barbara Loe Fisher is impressive, including time on the National Vaccine Advisory Committee at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and on the FDA's Vaccine and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee, Facebook ultimately removed the page for "violating community standards." There is no information on which standards were violated, or in what way. According to a report, Fisher explained that the page started receiving warnings after it hosted an online conference in October 2020 with "more than 50 speakers presenting information on vaccine science, policy, law and civil liberties." Facebook removed the page on March 6, 2021.
