Payment processor Stripe drops conservative activist and Congressional candidate Laura Loomer: According to a post on Laura Loomer's web site, payment processor Stripe has notified her that they will no longer serve her account as of April 12. According to the screen shot that she shared, Stripe said that "[a]fter a recent review of your website and account information, we've found that your business presents a higher level of risk than we're able to work with. Specifically, your business is in violation of our Stripe Services Agreement, section A.7.b ('Restricted Businesses and Activities')." However, there was no further detail on what exactly was in violation.

Loomer has been previously banned from "Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Medium, Uber, Lyft, Uber Eats, as well as several payment processing companies such as PayPal, GoFundMe, Venmo, and now Stripe," according to the post, which says that she also goes by "The Most Banned Woman in the World."

Stripe has previously banned free speech social network Gab.com, as well as the Trump campaign after the January 6 Capitol riot. Loomer claims that Stripe's actions amount to "election interference" because she has announced another run for Congressional office in 2022. She speculated that the Stripe ban was due to the fact that she had just finished a speech to Florida lawmakers regarding Florida's bill to punish Big Tech for censoring users in which she suggested that the legislators should add "penalties for payment processors" who ban users. By the time she got back to her hotel from the speech, Stripe had alerted her that she was being banned. Her feelings on this: "No such thing as a coincidence."
