Threads slaps fake news label on entrepreneur's account: Hours after the launch of Mark Zuckerberg's new app Threads, Derek Utley reported that his Threads account had been labeled with a disclaimer. The disclaimer said, "This account has repeatedly posted false information that was reviewed by independent fact-checkers or went against our Community Guidelines" and asked users to confirm that they would still like to follow the account. Utley used this opportunity to contrast the treatment of speech on Threads versus Elon Musk's X. ".@meta /IG just released their new threads platform and I’ve been informed by multiple users that I’m censored on their new platform," wrote Utley. "Sheesh, can’t a dude catch a break. @elonmusk doesn’t have me censored."
