"This account has repeatedly posted false information that was reviewed by independent fact-checkers or went against our Community Guidelines," the disclaimer read. Users were required to confirm that they still wished to follow the account. Handley characterized the disclaimer as punishment for a post he made about the Biden administration's corruption. The warning was later removed.
