Instagram disables account of anti-lockdown activist Chris Sky: Chris Saccoccia aka "Chris Sky" had more than 250,000 followers on Instagram, according to Reclaim the Net, until the social networking platform disabled his account. "So guys, Instagram just disabled my main account @realchrissky because they know I'm about to get to Calgary and they're trying to deplatform me before I can speak to everyone at Calgary and Van[couver]," said Sky in a short video alerting his audience to the ban. An unnamed spokesperson from Instagram reportedly told Reclaim the Net that it removed Sky from its platform due to multiple violations of its community standards. "We will not tolerate content on our platform about COVID-19 that could lead to harm, including harmful vaccine misinformation and content promoting widely debunked hoaxes,” the spokesperson reportedly said, according to Reclaim the Net. In response to Instagram's disabling of his account, Sky set up his own website, REALCHRISSKY.com, "to LIVESTREAM from rallies in Calgary, Vancouver, Regina, Winnipeg, Montreal," he said in a tweet. "SURPRISE THEY ARE SO SCARED OF ME SPEAKING IN CALGARY AND VANCOUVER THEY ARE DELETING ALL MY SOCIAL MEDIA," remarked Sky in another tweet. "AND THEY SHOULD BE."
