YouTube terminates channel of independent Italian media outlet: Byoblu is an independent media outlet that aims to give exposure to ideas that may not exist in the corporate media, but which are widespread among the Italian people. YouTube terminated Byoblu's channel, according to an article published on the outlet's website, for its filming of protests and demonstrations in Italy, as well as other videos discussing the coronavirus vaccine. Byoblu did not specify which YouTube policies its videos violated. The 14-year-old channel had almost half a million subscribers and more than 2,000 recorded interviews, all of which were deleted when the channel was taken down. The independent media outlet is attempting to crowd-fund on its website the purchase of a national channel on Italy's digital terrestrial broadcasting network.
