William Bradford's writings. According to screenshots, he wrote in his post: "For two years after arriving at Plymouth, the Pilgrims operated under a socialist economic system. They almost starved and probably would have had they not changed to a free-market approach. In "Ditching Socialism in the New World," you can read a paraphrased account of governor William Bradford's report on the Pilgrims' experiment. What happened to them is packed with insights and lessons for Americans today." Facebook rejected the boost on the post because of its added requirements for "Ads about Social Issues, Elections or Politics" according to screenshots. The platform explained to the user "[y]our ad may have been rejected because it mentions politicians or is about sensitive social issues that could influence public opinion, how people vote and may impact the outcome of an election or pending legislation." The account administrator commented on the rejection saying: "Yes, the title does indicate that the account paraphrased is 'A Lesson for 21st-Century Americans,' and yes, the title does indicate that socialism as an economic system is criticized. Still, it mentions no modern politicians and no contemporary political contests."
