Facebook accounts of members of historical war reenactment group in the UK deleted, Facebook apologizes and reinstates: Members of a British reenactment society with the name Wimborne Militia had their Facebook accounts wiped after the platform mistook their organization for a US militia group, according to Reclaim The Net. "Hello, It seem that due to events overseas, facebook is deleting anything to do with Militias," read a Facebook post from the reenactment group. "Unfortunately despite being a British Reenactment society we seem to have been caught up in the algorithm." Chris Brown, one of the members who lost access to his account, said he received a message on Facebook that stated his account had been disabled "due to contraventions of community standards," according to Reclaim The Net's reporting. He added that the message indicated, "This decision is irreversible."
