X community adds a context note to Vivek Ramaswamy post: Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy's official X account re-posted a Politico reporter's post that said, “Chris Christie regularly dings Trump. Now he’s going after Vivek Ramaswamy: On Vivek’s call for northern border wall: 'I don’t think you’ve heard anyone who knows anything ask for that.' On Vivek poss[ibly] skipping 3rd debate: 'Don’t think anyone will miss him' #nhpolitics @politico.” Ramaswamy added, "One month ago, @GovChristie ridiculed me for demanding more security on the Northern Border: 'I don’t think you’ve heard anyone who knows anything ask for that.' Well, it’s radio silence from him today. The bipartisan establishment is filled with these clowns & it’s pathetic." X added a context label to the post that read "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. Gov. Kathy Hochul states there is 'no indication that this is a terrorist attack,' undermining both the 'safety' thesis of Ramaswamy’s argument, while invalidating the point of the tweet [sic]. Also, the vehicle lost control on the U.S. side of the border, not the other way around. x.com/charlie_report…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk recently shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will now be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
