X (formerly Twitter) Community Notes fact checks quote attribution: The account Physics in History posted on X Feb. 8, “Sometimes it is the people no one imagines anything of who do the things that no one can imagine. -- Alan Turing (1912 - 1954)” X Community Notes put a fact check on the post, saying, “That quote, ‘Sometimes it is the people no one imagines do the things no one can imagine,’ is actually not from Alan Turing himself, but from the 2014 movie ‘The Imitation Game’ about his life.” The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
