"We do not allow ads to run on content that undermines confidence in elections with demonstrably false information," a YT spokesperson told CNBC. However, many from the left are denouncing YouTube for not taking the video down completely. According to a YouTube spokesperson the platform's community guidelines prohibit content that misleads users about how to vote, such as the time, place means or eligibility requirements for voting, as well as false claims that may discourage individuals from voting. Yet, the video "doesn't rise to that level," said a YouTube spokesperson, according to CNBC, "so it wasn't removed."
