Nova Festival survivor Ben Shimon spoke today at the Israeli Knesset Parliament at a hearing for the State Audit Commission on the treatment of the survivors of October 7.  “Few people know, but there have been almost 50 suicides among the Nova survivors. This number, which was true two months ago, may have increased since.” Shimon went on to describe the mental traumas the survivors were facing: “There are many survivors who had to be forcibly hospitalized due to their psychological state. My friends are not getting out of bed, neither am I.” 364 people lost their lives during the music festival attack. An estimated 600,000 Israelis are currently waiting to receive psychological support since Oct 7th. Source: i24 News." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know.
