X community adds a context note to Laura Loomer post: Political activist Laura Loomer posted "NIKKI HALEY IS AN ANCHOR BABY! THIS IS WHY SHES THE ONLY GOP CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT WHO OPPOSES ENDING BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP. IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT COMMUNITY NOTES SAYS! YOU CANNOT COMMUNITY NOTE THE US CONSTITUTION! NIKKI HALEY IS AN ANCHOR BABY! STOP THE INVASION!" The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. Constitution lists 3 qualifications for Presidency - must be =/> 35, be a natural born citizen, & must live in the US for at least 14 yrs. Natural Born Citizen Act - Defines 'natural born citizen,' as: Any person born in, & subject to the jurisdiction of, the United States congress.gov/bill/108th-con…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
