Twitter fact checks post about COVID-19 vaccines: Twitter fact-checked a user for tweeting about the negative side effects some individuals experienced after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine. In a purported screenshot, the user said, "and despite that, clear links have been researched and identified in legitimate journals, between the vax and menstrual irregularities (which ofc implies fertility issues), increased chances of myocarditis, of blood clots, and now, suppressed immune function." Twitter claimed the post was "misleading," added a notice to the post, and linked to a fact check article. "Learn why health officials consider COVID-19 vaccines safe for most people," Twitter said. Fact-checked posts lose exposure and are negatively affected by the platform's algorithm.
