Ilhan Omar's (D-MN) Republican challenger, Danielle Stella (R-MN), was permanently removed from Twitter for "repeated violations of the Twitter rules," according to a Twitter spokesperson. The move to permanently ban Stella came following a tweet she made saying Omar "should be tried for #treason and hanged" if contested claims from The Jerusalem Post that Omar passed sensitive information to Iran were true. Both the personal and campaign accounts for Stella, who is running for Minnesota's Fifth Congressional District, have been removed from Twitter.
