The Daily Signal, a multimedia news organization run by The Heritage Foundation, posted an article to Facebook, from The Daily Caller News Foundation, challenging the notion that climate change is the main cause of current California wildfires. The news story was subsequently given a "Mostly False" rating from Facebook's left-wing climate news fact checker, Science Feedback. Upon receiving the fact check rating, The Heritage Foundation appealed it to Science Feedback but upon receiving a detailed explanation was told the rating would remain. Science Feedback's response indicated the article "misleads readers by oversimplifying the drivers of wildfires and downplaying the role of climate change."
