Candace Owens Slams Instagram For Alleged Censorship
Conservative media personality Candace Owens says Facebook is targeting old posts from her Instagram account.
Instagram, which is owned by Facebook, allegedly removed a November post from Owens’ account that cast doubt on Biden’s victory in the 2020 election. Owens said she was locked out of her account over the post.
“The Left spent 4 years claiming Trump was not their President, except, he LITERALLY is,” a screenshot of her November 2020 tweet read. “Now they are saying that Joe Biden is President-elect, except, he LITERALLY is NOT.”
A screenshot of Instagram’s report said the post was removed because it went against the platform’s policies “on bullying and harassment.”
“If you learn and follow our guidelines, you can prevent your account from being deleted.”
Owens said the deletion was purposeful.
“What the actual hell, @Facebook ? @instagram just locked me out of my account and warned me that my account may be deleted over a post that I apparently posted in November of 2020— how is this possible?” she tweeted. “They are clearly having employees retro-hit accounts to justify deletion.”
Earlier in the year, Owens said Facebook censored her after she questioned the big pharma’s ties to the COVID vaccine.
“Obviously I am suing @Facebook fact-checkers so absurd censorship like this just help my case,” she said at the time. “EVERYTHING IN THIS TWEET WAS FACTUAL.”
