Americans should be skeptical of a NBC News liberal moderating the final presidential debate after the network’s anti-Trump mud-slinging festival of a town hall it moderated last week.

Donation records provide a glaring reason why.

Earlier reporting showed that NBCUniversal CEO Jeff Shell personally gave at least $30,600 exclusively to Democrats this cycle while he was still Chairman of NBCU Film and Entertainment. FEC data showed that he had given the maximum FEC-allowed $2,800 to the failed presidential campaign of Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) — now Democratic nominee for president Joe Biden’s running mate. This means that the overseer of the entire NBC decision-making apparatus, including NBC News, is monetarily tied to the Democratic vice presidential nominee. The chosen moderator, NBC News White House Correspondent Kristen Welker, has also recently come under fire for her deep Democratic ties.

The Media Research Center had exposed Shell as one of 12 executives from NBCUniversal and parent company Comcast who had made donations to Harris in the months leading up to the June 26-27, 2019 Democratic Party presidential debates. The donations raised concerns then of potential conflicts of interest. During the June 27 debate, also moderated by NBC talking heads, moderators broke their own debate rules by giving Harris more time than she was supposed to get. She used that time to attack then-Democratic Party presidential candidate Joe Biden.

NBC’s rules for that debate were that “candidates will have 60 seconds to answer questions and 30 seconds to respond to follow-ups. And there will be no opening statements, though candidates will have a chance to deliver closing remarks.”

In reality, there were multiple instances where moderators Chuck Todd and Rachel Maddow broke those rules.

Maddow allowed Harris to give a speech on race neither in response to a question nor as a follow-up in violation of debate rules. The speech lasted approximately one minute and 45 seconds. She spent the majority of the time attacking Biden.

If you’re looking for a different outcome in this upcoming debate now that Harris is on the official Democratic ticket for the White House, don’t hold your breath.

Conservatives are under attack. Contact NBC News at (212- 664-6192) and demand it acknowledge NBC Universal CEO Jeff Shell’s political bias and run a fair debate tomorrow.
