X community adds a context note to Vivek Ramaswamy post:  Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy's official X account posted, “TRUTH #8: Ukraine is not a real democracy & is persecuting Christians.” The post then linked to a Newsweek article headlined "Christians are not persecuted in Ukraine. What got banned was the moscow tied Ukrainian Orthodox church, which was in a continious decline before and lost many people already before to their rival, the independent Orthodox Church of Ukraine. politico.eu/article/end-da…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk recently shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will now be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
