Twitter locked a user's account allegedly for tweeting that Kyle Rittenhouse did nothing wrong: Eighteen-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse was charged with first-degree murder after he killed two men and injured another purportedly in self-defense during one of the 2020 Antifa riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin. A user allegedly tweeted that Kyle Rittenhouse "did nothing wrong." User-provided screenshots show that Twitter removed the user's tweet claiming that he violated its "rules against glorifying violence." The notice explains that Twitter prohibits "content that condones or celebrates acts of violence that could promote imitation of the act," and "glorifying the perpetrators of such violence," according to screenshots. The user was forced to delete the tweet before the account was locked for 12 hours resulting in an inability to tweet, retweet, follow other users, or like other users' posts while the account was locked.
