X community adds a context note to Variety's post: The X account for entertainment media outlet Variety posted "Ashton Kutcher says you'll soon be able to 'render a whole movie' using AI. 'You’ll just come up with an idea for a movie, then it will write the script, then you’ll input the script into the video generator and it will generate the movie.'" The post linked to a Variety article on the topic. The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. Should be disclosed that Ashton Kutcher is a venture capital investor raising money for AI. Whatever comment he has on it is coming from an investor/sales perspective, to generate profit, and not from the perspective of a creator. fortune.com/2023/05/04/ash…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
