Fact-Checker: Check Your Fact. Conclusion: False." The box also linked to the fact-check article referenced. However, this fact-check addresses a different Instagram post that discussed California Assembly Bill AB-665. The Upward News post did not reference a specific Assembly Bill, but given the timing of the post, it can be presumed that it referred to AB-957. This bill would have done just as the post suggested, though Newsom chose to veto the bill rather than sign it in a surprise to many. At the time of the post, it was accurate in saying that Newsom "may soon sign" the legislation of concern, as he had not yet vetoed the bill.
