X community adds a context note to Tucker Carlson's post: Tucker Carlson posted "Ep. 47 Gonzalo Lira is an American citizen who’s been tortured in a Ukrainian prison since July, for the crime of criticizing Zelensky. The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. There is no evidence that any torture has taken place. This individual was arrested for breaking Ukrainian laws against revealing the positions of Ukrainian forces (for obvious security reasons). When present in a foreign country you must follow their laws. news.yahoo.com/sbu-responds-m…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk recently shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will now be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
