X (formerly Twitter) “fact-checks” post for calling out Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Harris: Trump War Room quote tweeted a VP Kamala Harris X post that said, “.@JoeBiden and I are keeping the police officers who were shot in Louisville in our hearts, wishing them a swift and speedy recovery. Violence is not the answer and we must find a way to express our grief, anger, and demands in ways that reflect the world we wish to see.” Trump War Room commented with a reminder of Harris’s 2020 promotion of a group bailing violent BLM protesters out of jail: “Kamala Harris helped raise money for a far-left organization that bailed a rioter who shot at police out of jail.” X Community Notes imposed a fact check, running interference for Democrat candidate Harris and defending her in the face of Trump War Room’s contextual information. Community Notes wrote, “Jaleel Stallings, an Army veteran, was found not guilty and acting in self-defense after being shot in the chest from an unmarked van on May 30, 2020. Officers in the van testified in court they neither identified themselves nor warned Stallings prior to shooting him.”
