Facebook censors user's post questioning government actions: A Facebook account known as "Trump Patriots" posted a message in the "America In Distress...FJB" group that read "So when Trump takes out a loan and pays it back with interest it's a crime but when you take out a student loan and don't pay it back, then Biden forgives the loan, steals money from the taxpayers to pay it back it's not a crime." Facebook applied a fact check label on the post, calling it "Partly False." When expanded, the label explained that "Independent fact-checkers say this information has some factual inaccuracies. You can choose whether to see it." The label cited three articles in determining that the post was "partly false." These included a PolitiFact article titled "Donald Trump wasn't sued for paying back loans with interest," an AFP United States article titled "Trump civil fraud verdict misrepresented online," and a USA Today article titled "No, Donald Trump was not criminally prosecuted for taking out, repaying loan." The notice concluded by saying "Facebook works with independent fact-checkers to stop the spread of false information." Indeed, according to Facebook, users fail to click through fact-check interstitials 95% of the time.
