X community adds a context note to Texas Attorney General post: The X account for the Texas Attorney General's office posted "Attorney General Ken Paxton Secures Unanimous SCOTUS Win on Texas Property Rights Case:" The post included a link to an article on the AG's website with the same headline. The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. Texas did not 'win', in fact it was the complete opposite. A 9-0 against Texas allowing the ranchers lawsuit to move forward. Texas tried getting this case thrown out (not going to trial) and SCOTUS affirmed it will indeed go to trial under the fifth amendment takings clause. ij.org/press-release/…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
