X community adds a context note to Tariq Nasheed's post: Film producer Tariq Nasheed re-posted a Collin Rugg post about a teacher who was beaten by an autistic, "6ft6in teen" "over a Nintendo Switch," and his adoptive mother pleading for leniency in his sentencing. Nasheed added his own opinion on the matter in his re-post, saying "This is a horrible story. Putting special needs Black youths in prison is a white supremacist ethnic cleansing tactic. And the white female teacher involved in this case has profited from the ordeal with a gofundme. This seems unethical because it could incentivize other white teachers to deliberately trigger Black special needs kids to react violently so the teachers can get a bag." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. Naydich has not profited from this attack as she has medical bills & been placed on unpaid leave. Naydich suffered multiple serious injuries, including a traumatic brain injury, 5 broken ribs, a severe concussion, and loss of hearing in one of her ears, among other issues. fox35orlando.com/news/florida-t… news-journalonline.com/story/news/loc…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system.
