Steven Crowder

X community adds a context note to Steven Crowder post:  Louder with Crowder host Steven Crowder posted on his X account images of three pages obtained allegedly from the Nashville shooter's so-called 'manifesto.' He added text to his post that highlighted some of the contents of the manifesto, saying "BREAKING: Nashville School Covenant Shooter Audrey Hale’s 'DEATH DAY' Manifesto Targeted 'Cr*ckers' with 'white privlages' [sic] 'wanna kill all you little cr*ckers' 'I hope I have a high death count' 'I'm ready...I hope my victims aren't.' 'Ready to die.' #NashvilleManifesto." X added a label to the post that read "Readers added context they thought people might want to know." The added context read, "The Nashville Chief of Police, John Drake, confirmed that the pages are authentic in a statement: 'I am greatly disturbed by today’s unauthorized release of three pages of writings from the Covenant shooter.' tennessean.com/story/news/loc…

The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk recently shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted to explain that notices will now be pushed to users that previously engaged with a post about any Community Notes added to it after the engagement.
