Facebook fact checks video of questionable handling of ballots in Georgia that Steve Deace posted about: Conservative commentator Steve Deace took to Facebook to make a comment about a viral video taken at a Georgia ballot counting center. The video seems to show ballot counters rolling out suitcases of ballots from under a table to count them after poll watchers were told that counting was done for the night and they could leave. This video was shown in the Georgia legislative hearings about alleged vote fraud as evidence. Deace noted: "This video has appeared to change the narrative somewhat. It penetrated the Fox News Overton Window, and now Georgia Governor Brian Kemp is finally calling for the kind of audit that should've been done weeks ago. Maybe there was fraud, maybe it was a clean election. But a forensic audit would help us to better know one way or the other." Facebook applied a fact check to this post that said the video is missing context. The fact check links to an article written by left-leaning Lead Stories. The article, citing "two high-level officials with the Georgia secretary of state's office and a state elections board monitor," is headlined: "Fact Check: Video From Georgia Does NOT Show Suitcases Filled With Ballots Suspiciously Pulled From Under A Table; Poll Watchers Were NOT Told To Leave."
