Twitter locked former Trump campaign operative and Fox News contributor out of his account until he deleted tweet linking to Stanford mask study: Twitter reportedly locked Steve Cortes, a former financial advisor, former Trump campaign operative and current political commentator, out of his account. To restore his account, he was forced to delete a tweet containing a link to a Stanford University study on the ineffectiveness of masks. The study was published by both the National Institutes of Health and ScienceDirect. A notice from Twitter, sent to Cortes, stated that the tweet violated the platform's "policy on spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19." The violating tweet is no longer visible on Cortes's account, but it appears he is still locked out considering he has yet to publish a new tweet since the day he got suspended.
