Zia Yusuf

TikTok removes video months after its posting due to "Hate Speech":  Reform UK’s Spokesperson for Home Affairs, Zia Yusuf, posted TikTok videos outlining his party's immigration policy, including one from February. "TikTok has now removed my video outlining the key policies I would implement as Home Secretary, claiming it is 'Hate Speech and Hateful Behaviour,'” Yusuf posted on X. "TikTok is a place for diverse communities to connect, not to spread hate," the platform pontificated according to screenshots Ysuf included in his post. "We don't allow hate speech, hateful behaviour or promotion of hateful ideologies. This includes content that attacks people based on attributes like race, religion, gender or sexual orientation," the platform added. In his post, Yusuf pointed out the irony of the censorship: "This is all the more staggering given TikTok happily hosts hundreds of videos of people calling for the assassination of Nigel Farage."  He added, "TikTok is engaging in direct political interference in the midst of the most pivotal elections in our country’s history."
