X community adds a context note to user's post: An X (formerly Twitter) user posted "Thank you @AlinaHabba for defending our President & The Constitution from the pieces of shit trying to destroy it! Insta seems to be having a HUGE problem with “The Truth”. It getting out and people are waking up to the false narrative & selective editing of the left. #TRUMP." The post included a photo of former President Trump with four women behind him. The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. Author has posted a selectively edited photo of Pres. Trump that makes him look younger while complaining about the 'selective editing of the left.' Unedited photo can be viewed here: t.co/rjWseG7A8g." The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
