Facebook flagged a user's post for posting a quote that has been misattributed to Kurt Russell:  A user posted to Facebook a screenshot of a tweet that has been apparently misattributed to actor Kurt Russell. Quote reads: "These are the things the Dems have promised to abolish if they regain power. The 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th amendments. Senate. Electoral College. Supreme Court. Borders. ICE. And probably a few things I neglected to mention. Can we declare them enemies of the nation yet?" According to Lede Stories, the quote originated from a user who goes by the username "deborah" and was shortly after tweeted by an account that did not belong to Kurt Russell but used his name and photo. Snopes and PolitiFact made similar fact checks. Facebook flagged the post because it included "information that independent fact-checkers said was false." Fact-checked posts lose exposure on Facebook feeds as they are negatively affected by the platform's algorithm. According to Facebook, users fail to click through a fact-check interstitial to see the post 95% of the time.
