X community adds a context note to a Seth Abramson post: Journalist Seth Abramson posted a response to another user's post that read "Elon Musk promised to 'make good' on the last minute cancellation of a $16,000.00 order of pies that devastated the small business form which the pies were ordered and who had already begun to make them. So far he's generously offered the owner a free tour of the Tesla factory. Elon Musk makes about $23,000 every minutes." Abramson's response read "This is true. It is being reported everywhere. And on top of everything else, this is a Black-owned small business that may now be destroyed. Tesla is refusing to pay anything at all." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. A factory tour was offered by a rep on Thu, Feb 22nd—before Elon promised to 'make good' in a post on Fri, Feb 23rd. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
