X community adds a context note to Elizabeth Warren post: Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) posted: "The @SECgov is wrong on the law and wrong on the policy with respect to the Bitcoin ETF decision. If the SEC is going to let crypto burrow even deeper into our financial system, then it's more urgent than ever that crypto follow basic anti-money laundering rules." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. The American court decided approving Bitcoin ETF is lawful. The DC Circuit Court of Appeals overturned the SEC’s rejection of Grayscale’s bid to convert its trust into an exchange-traded fund. bnnbloomberg.ca/sec-won-t-appe…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
