Salty Dad

Facebook fact-checks joke meme, proving that comedy is now forbidden: In the wake of LeBron James having deleted an offensive tweet threatening the police officer who fatally shot a black teenage girl to prevent her from stabbing another black teenage girl, the Big Tech censors were on the job. A Facebook page called Salty Dad shared what was clearly a joke meme about the situation. The meme showed a photo of LeBron, with the text: "LeBron: 'We're At The Point Where A Girl Can't Even Stab Her Friends Anymore.'" Facebook slapped this post with a fact-check filter, calling it "False Information." The filter, which Facebook itself has admitted as many as 95% of people will not click through, referred users to a Politifact piece that rated the meme "Pants on Fire," because LeBron did not say that. Fact-checkers have a clear history of having no sense of humor, patronizingly fact checking the satirical news site The Babylon Bee on multiple occasions. This latest incident just proves that in today's woke world, comedy is now strictly forbidden.
