X community adds a context note to RFK Jr. post: Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s official X account posted, “As we sleep walk towards WW3, White House decision making has devolved to a group of anonymous figures in lanyards who seem to have no grasp on the uses of power.” The post was responding to a post from another user that included a photo of a line of ships and said "For the first time in history, 100 warships of the Turkish Navy began moving in the Bosphorus Strait." X added a label to the post that read "Readers added context they thought people might want to know." The added context read, "The ships are moving for a parade in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkiye aa.com.tr/en/100th-anniv…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk recently shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized.
