X community adds a context note to old Kamala Harris video posted by RNC Research: The RNC Research X account posted a video clip of Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris at a meeting some time ago and pulled out her quote from the video, posting "'I am Kamal Harris, my pronouns are she and her, and I am a woman sitting at the table wearing a blue suit.'" The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. This is a recording of a meeting with disability advocates, which included blind and low-vision members. The meeting and recording were intended to be accessible to those with sight and hearing impairments. whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/… ameridisability.com/the-one-main-f…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
