Twitter censors a screenshot of an iPad photo gallery search: A Twitter user was discussing his qualms about Apple's announcement that it plans to scan users photos for pictures of child abuse. He claimed that "On iPhone and iPad photo gallery if you search 'children' you see some grownups included in the search. Sometimes they get it wrong. Now imagine being put on a sex offender register because Apple cuffed up." He then shared a screenshot of his iPad photo gallery search results for the term "child," which included some adults. Twitter placed a sensitive content filter over the image. Such filters do not allow users on the mobile app who have the sensitive filter enabled on their profile to view the filtered content at all. On the web version of Twitter, the users must click through the sensitive content interstitial in order to view the filtered content. Not only do such filters give the impression of inappropriate content, similar filters have been shown to reduce user interaction with content.
