X community adds a context note to Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) post: Colorado Representative Lauren Boebert posted "Big wins as local communities are receiving over $20 million for important water and infrastructure projects! I'm grateful to all the stakeholders who brought these local priorities to my attention and helped ensure my 10 requests were passed into law." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. While Congresswoman Boebert may have worked with local stakeholders, it is important to note that she voted against the passage of the legislation providing the funds. clerk.house.gov/Votes/202464?R…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
