X community adds a context note to Rep. Jim Banks's post: Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) posted "Donald J. Trump is the only candidate who qualified for the Indiana GOP presidential primary. Nikki Haley didn’t get enough signatures. It’s over. She needs to do what’s best for America and call it quits. Indiana is Trump country and I’m proud to have his endorsement in my race for the U.S. Senate. Tomorrow I’ll be honored to drop off President Trump’s signatures at the Secretary of State’s office to make his victory in Indiana official!" The post included a screenshot of a Truth Social post from Trump saying Haley had missed the deadline to be on the ballot in Indiana. The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. Indiana’s filing deadline to appear on a Presidential Primary ballot is February 9th. Therefore she cannot have missed the deadline at this time. The Haley campaign has indicated they have collected all necessary signatures and will appear on the ballot. in.gov/sos/elections/… x.com/bencjacobs/sta…."
