Amazon rejects publishing company's attempt to run sponsored ads for book challenging gender norms: Regnery, the publishing company of Abigail Shrier's book titled “Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters,” has been barred by Amazon from running sponsored ads for Shrier's book. An Op-Ed written by Shrier indicated Amazon's stated reason for not allowing the ad was because the image on the cover of her book "contains elements that may not be appropriate for all audiences, which may include ad copy/book content that infers or claims to diagnose, treat, or question sexual orientation." Shrier said on Twitter that while Amazon is blocking her publisher from running ads it has allowed ads from other books that pushed the contrary view – that gender transition for teens is without serious risk.
