X community adds a context note to The Redheaded Libertarian's post: X account The Redheaded Libertarian posted "Macron has dissolved the French parliament because he lost an election. Whether or not the Biden regime denounces this act of totalitarianism will be telling of the deep state's plan for America this November." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. Dissolving parliament is how elections are called in parliamentary democracies like France, this is common and not an act of totalitarianism. Macron's party is actually projected to lose seats as a result." The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later. The post was later removed.
