Twitter community adds a context note to Randi Weingarten tweet: Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers union, tweeted, "Texas teacher fired for reading Diary of Anne Frank to class-THIS Speaks for itself!!!" The tweet included a link to a Houston Chronicle article about this incident. Twitter added a label to the post that read "Readers added context they thought people might want to know." The added context read "The book the teacher read was not The Diary of Anne Frank, it was Anne Frank's Diary: The Graphic Adaptation. Which includes a depiction of molestation. The teacher asked students to discuss the molestation." The note included various links to support the corrections. PolitiFact also covered the Weingarten assertion and found it to be "Half True." Twitter users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to tweets.
