Twitter locks PJ Media's account and forces the platform to delete a tweet calling transgender health official a man: Twitter removed a tweet from conservative commentary site PJ Media after it called the transgender Assistant Health Secretary for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Rachel Levine, a male. PJ Media tweeted "Rachel Levine Is Not the 'First Female Four-star Admiral' Because He's a Male," according to screenshots tweeted by the site's editor Paula Bolyard. She reported that Twitter locked the account and offered "[v]iolating one of our Rules" as the stand-alone explanation for the censorship. PJ Media was also forced to delete the tweet and "acknowledge that [its] tweet violated the Twitter Rules" in order to regain access to its account. At the time of the publishing of this case, the tweet has been removed from the site's feed, but it seems that the account may be serving an account restriction of some length of time, as it has not tweeted for four days.
