Twitter community adds a context note to Natalie Winters tweet: Co-Host and Executive Editor of Steve Bannon's War Room Natalie Winters tweeted, “BREAKING: Ron DeSantis let Ken Griffin rework legislation to allow Chinese Communist Party members to buy land in Florida." She included a link to a Yahoo News article headlined "Ken Griffin Reshaped Law Banning Chinese Real Estate Purchases." Twitter added a label to the post that read "Readers added context they thought people might want to know.” The added context read "Florida’s law prohibits CCP-tied entities from buying agricultural land and property near military bases. The law allows Chinese citizens with nontourist visas to acquire single parcels that are smaller than 2 acres and at least 5 miles from military bases." The note included links to three sites to support the claim. The label is part of Twitter’s Community Notes system. Twitter users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to tweets.
